“New perspectives for the mind to walk on, think, wonder.”
I believe this world to be photographic. There is an instance everywhere, to be traced by the photographer. Subject, composition, color or black / white, manipulation of light, the ability to recapitulate shadows. The photographer uses these elements to subtly build a bridge of communication with and for people. This becomes a vessel for sharing ideas, thoughts and feelings that extract us from loneliness and foster a humane environment.
Nikolas was born in Athens, Greece, where he currently lives and works. He studied Informatics and Software Engineering at the Academic & Polytechnic School. He worked as a software / hardware engineer in Greece and abroad, at the same time exploring his interest in music by playing in several bands.
Nikolas’s implication with photography dates way back. He associates his work with black and white film through experiment and research; he is captured by the little elements of the process, the smell of chemicals, the joy & excitement of composition.
In the past years his primary focus is digital photography.
He has exhibited his art in exhibitions internationally.
